Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a local primary school. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Your main responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, supporting students with their work, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background working with students with SEN, particularly those with severe or profound learning difficulties.
  • An ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A patient, calm, and caring approach to supporting students with complex needs.
