Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective contract negotiation strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives. They will also be involved in the sales, tender, or re-tender process, identifying opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and agree contracts with both internal and external stakeholders
  • To agree contracts on a timely basis to the mutual satisfaction of both parties
  • Involved with the sales, tender or re-tender process across the division
  • Adopting and agreeing the best negotiation strategy with internal stakeholders
  • Leading the negotiation with clients around any disputes
  • Complying with the contract term policy
  • Ensure commercial Policy/Procedure Compliance
  • To promote compliance with commercial policy and procedures
  • Attending Project and Contract Reviews to promote best practice
  • Providing and maintaining standard documentation

This role is based in London and offers a salary range of GBP75,000 - GBP85,000, plus benefits. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in a relevant quantity surveying or commercial management discipline and MSc in a relevant quantity surveying, commercial management or legal discipline. They will also possess expertise in risk and opportunity management, contractual awareness, and contract pricing.

A key requirement for this role is the ability to manage contractual risks and opportunities, including engaging with key stakeholders and technical experts. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a sound understanding of pricing mechanics and pricing strategies, as well as expert knowledge of scoping and identification of risk in a scope of works.
