Theatre Team: Bar Supervisor/Duty Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor/Duty Manager to oversee daily bar functions and ensure an outstanding guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and some experience of bar and theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage shifts and act as a keyholder.
  • Support the theatre's artistic policy and community focus.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing a career in venue management and be able to multitask under pressure. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisor role and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience working with the general public, preferably within an arts environment.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure.
  • An interest in and enthusiasm for theatre, comedy, and the arts.
  • Friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • An understanding of inventory and stock management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, including wines, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Experience with product research and partnership development is a plus.
  • Experience of being a cashier/cash handling.
  • Experience of front-of-house or duty management within a theatre or live performance venue.
  • A genuine understanding and support of the King's Head Theatre.
  • First Aid and/or Fire Marshall trained.
