Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children with learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and challenging behaviors in a residential service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with complex needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement personalized care plans, addressing the unique needs of each child.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavior management, communication, and child development.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Enhanced Child and Adults DBS on the Update Service.
  • Flexibility to work a rolling rota, including sleep-ins and varied shifts.
