Job Title:

NHS Wound Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annumAbout the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Band 5 nurse to join our team as a District Nurse in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will work in a community dressing clinic, providing evidence-based care to patients with wound care and leg ulcer management needs.

The role involves assessing and evaluating individual patient care, referring to specialists or GPs as required, and storing and maintaining clinic records. You will also have the opportunity to mentor pre-registration nursing students and participate in audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assess, plan, and evaluate individual patient care.
  2. Deliver high-quality wound care services in the community dressing clinic.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinic records.
  4. Act as a mentor for pre-registration nursing students.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with recent training.
  • Evidence of working towards or completion of a Degree in Professional Practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of local and national healthcare priorities.
