Strategic Growth Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our Specialist Services division, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining a pipeline of high-value new business opportunities to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tailored commercial offerings that meet client needs.
- Effectively communicate and present business solutions to clients, including proposals, tenders, and sales presentations.
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to close, to ensure successful business outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform business strategy.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, and account management, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable field.
- Strong understanding of the waste management industry, including relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex business issues and develop effective solutions.
- Computer literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
