Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join their expanding team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to work as part of a team in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components, and Composites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of Aerospace products to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections to verify product quality and accuracy.
  • Work independently to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate quality issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and metrics.
  • Provide technical support to the shop floor as needed.
  • Audit Approved Operators to ensure compliance with quality procedures.
  • Support training and development of team members in products and processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience in quality control or a related field, with training provided as needed.
  • Experience in Goods In Inspection and processes is advantageous.
  • Aerospace knowledge and experience with FAIRs to AS 9102 are highly desirable.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of root cause tools, such as 5 whys and 8D.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds or GCSEs in Maths and Science, are essential.
