Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to work as part of a team in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components, and Composites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of Aerospace products to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform in-process inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
- Conduct First Article Inspections to verify product quality and accuracy.
- Work independently to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate quality issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate quality records and metrics.
- Provide technical support to the shop floor as needed.
- Audit Approved Operators to ensure compliance with quality procedures.
- Support training and development of team members in products and processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Previous experience in quality control or a related field, with training provided as needed.
- Experience in Goods In Inspection and processes is advantageous.
- Aerospace knowledge and experience with FAIRs to AS 9102 are highly desirable.
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of root cause tools such as 5 whys and 8D.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and Science, and experience as an apprentice in a relevant discipline are advantageous.
