Standards Design Manager, Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Standards Design Manager to join our team at NatWest Digital X. As a key member of our Financial Crime department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust risk governance frameworks to mitigate financial crime risks.

About the Role: In this specialist role, you will partner with the business, products, and Risk function to identify, assess, and manage financial crime risks within agreed risk appetite. You will make a vital contribution to driving a generative culture of risk awareness, recommending solutions to financial crime risk issues, and strengthening ownership within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement risk governance frameworks to mitigate financial crime risks
  • Partner with the business, products, and Risk function to identify, assess, and manage financial crime risks
  • Drive a generative culture of risk awareness and recommend solutions to financial crime risk issues
  • Strengthen ownership within the business and promote a risk-aware culture
  • Collaborate with business product owner teams to turn standards into artefacts for onward implementation
  • Develop and maintain standards in an agile way to respond to policy change and internally initiated standards changes
  • Design new standards to mitigate risk efficiently and effectively
  • Lead and inspire a team of business and customer control partners to achieve team objectives

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) processes, systems, controls, and operating model
  • Experience of reporting analysis to stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience of managing change in an agile way using a multidisciplined team of expertise
  • Knowledge of financial crime processes, systems, policies, and regulations across multiple disciplines
