Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Governance and Patient Safety Coordinator to join our Governance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of excellent patient care by providing expert advice and guidance on governance and risk management.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Governance Team in the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of incidents and near misses, identifying areas for improvement and implementing recommendations.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure that patient safety is embedded in all aspects of care delivery.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, using data to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that governance and risk management are integrated into all aspects of the trust's operations.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of governance and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical teams and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and requirements.
- Strong advocate of patient safety culture, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
