About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Governance and Patient Safety Coordinator to join our Governance Team within the Division of Surgery at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support across all aspects of patient safety, incidents, and governance issues.
  • Work closely with the Governance Team to ensure effective governance and risk management practices are in place.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify and implement improvements to patient safety and quality of care.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of incidents, near misses, and governance issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a large multi-professional organization, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of governance, risk management, and patient safety principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
