About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to take on the role of Strategic Business Engagement Director at Harper Adams University. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our business engagement strategy, linking our research, academics, facilities, and students with industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic direction for business engagement, aligning resources to ensure operational efficiency and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  2. Oversee service development, manage operational planning, and lead strategic projects.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, academic departments, and other university teams.
  4. Establish the service as a credible source of business intelligence regarding employer needs and the graduate labour market.
  5. Manage and motivate the business engagement team, ensuring the successful delivery of targets and standards.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in developing new business opportunities and sustaining income streams.
  • Strong business skills and commercial acumen.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service and continuous quality improvement.
