Safeguarding the Wellbeing of our Students

The successful candidate will work closely with the school's leadership team to maintain an effective safeguarding culture, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our students.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation;
  • Liaise with external agencies as needed to address safeguarding concerns;
  • Organise and provide safeguarding training to all staff, ensuring they are equipped to protect our students;
  • Maintain detailed records of safeguarding concerns and actions taken;
  • Work proactively with the attendance team to address any concerns;
  • Attend academy health and safety meetings;
  • Attend trust network meetings for professional development and information sharing;
  • Support our students and families to feel safe and supported.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have:




  • Experience dealing with highly charged and emotional situations;
  • Liaising with families effectively;
  • A record of strong support for the personal, social and emotional development of all students;
  • Successful experience working as part of a team within a school setting;
  • Detailed knowledge of latest safeguarding responsibilities and Child Protection policy and processes.
