Motor Finance Regional Specialist Underwriter

We're looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Regional Specialist Underwriter. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing applications, ensuring strong performance, and sharing best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess applications in line with our risk appetite, utilizing available tools within expected timescales.
  • Ensure high-quality work and decisioning accuracy, driving positive customer experiences.
  • Share best practices and expertise across the operational teams and wider business areas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous underwriting experience in the motor finance industry, with a strong focus on customer outcomes.
  • Sound analytical skills, with knowledge of FCA rulebook an advantage.
  • Effective communication and telephony skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to all staff members.
  • Strong literacy and numerical skills, with a positive work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage time effectively, with a willingness to share ideas and contribute to the business.
