Motor Finance Regional Specialist Underwriter

We're looking for a skilled underwriter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a regional specialist, you'll work closely with our underwriting lead to ensure our processes are efficient and effective. Your primary responsibility will be to assess applications and make informed decisions, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess applications in line with our risk appetite, utilizing available tools within expected timescales.
  • Ensure strong performance by prioritizing quality of work and decisioning accuracy.
  • Share best practices and expertise with the operational team and wider business areas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous underwriting experience in the motor finance industry, with a strong focus on customer outcomes.
  • Sound analytical skills and knowledge of FCA rulebook (desirable).
  • Effective communication and telephony skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to all staff members.
  • Strong literacy and numerical skills, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage time effectively, with a can-do attitude.
