Motor Finance Regional Specialist Underwriter

This role is a key part of our underwriting team, responsible for managing applications and ensuring our processes are effective and efficient. As a regional specialist, you'll work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, collaborating with the underwriting lead to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess applications in line with our risk appetite, utilizing available tools within expected timescales.
  • Ensure strong performance by prioritizing quality of work and decisioning accuracy.
  • Share best practices and expertise with the operational team and wider business areas.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous underwriting experience in the motor finance industry, with a strong focus on customer outcomes.
  • Sound analytical skills and knowledge of FCA rulebook.
  • Effective communication and telephony skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to all staff members.
  • Strong literacy and numerical skills, with a willingness to be developed and take on feedback.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage time effectively, with a can-do attitude and positive work ethic.
