Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the underwriting team.
- Review reporting and management information, analyzing insights to enhance performance.
- Conduct regular quality assurance assessments of team outputs and identify training requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Assist in the rollout of new systems and processes.
- Support strategic underwriting projects, ensuring operational requirements are well-defined and accurate.
- Prioritize tasks to meet service level agreements and achieve team objectives.
- Facilitate the launch of our new motor finance division, considering support for motor customers during evenings and weekends to establish a prompt service level for dealership applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven underwriting experience within a lending organization is essential.
- Contribute positively to the Admiral culture, ensuring team members are engaged and satisfied.
- Possess the confidence to challenge existing practices, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate initiative with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach as processes and systems evolve.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience in an underwriting management capacity is preferred.
- Familiarity with unsecured personal loans and motor finance, as well as CIFAS/SIRA loadings and assessments, is advantageous.
