About the Job

Are you passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people? Do you want to make a positive impact in your community? We are seeking an Emotional Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • To conduct assessments and deliver outcome-focused interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • To work in partnership with children, young people, and their families to support self-management of presenting difficulties.
  • To develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes in collaboration with children, young people, and their educators.
  • To empower children, young people, and their families to make informed choices about the interventions being offered.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker with additional CBT or other relevant therapy postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience of delivering low-intensity therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families.
  • Ability to conduct group therapeutic interventions with children and their families.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
