Job Title: Emotional Wellbeing Specialist

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Emotional Wellbeing Specialist to join our team in Kendal. As an Emotional Wellbeing Specialist, you will work with children and young people to support their emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one wellbeing sessions and therapeutic group work covering emotional literacy and emotional regulation.
  • Maintain active engagement on all safeguarding matters.
  • Ensure accurate recording for reporting purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering direct emotional support to children and young people on a one-to-one basis and in a group setting.
  • A caring and approachable manner that supports children and young people to establish safe and trusting relationships.
  • An awareness of emotional challenges and how these impact the lives of children and young people.
  • A knowledge of child and adolescent development and the role of the family in supporting children and young people's emotional well-being.
  • Comprehensive understanding of children's safeguarding.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
