Overview of School

Excell Supply is seeking a Director of Health and Wellbeing to lead the strategic approach to promoting learner and staff health and wellbeing within Woodlands School. The school provides education for up to 84 children and young people with EHC plans on a non-residential basis.

Overview of Role

The Director of Health and Wellbeing will be responsible for developing and implementing a whole-school health and wellbeing strategy, promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. This role is key to fostering a positive school culture, aligned with the Trust's values of empathy, integrity, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  1. Health and Wellbeing Strategy: Develop and implement a whole-school health and wellbeing strategy, promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  2. Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensure that all health and wellbeing initiatives are compliant with safeguarding regulations.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications and Training: Degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within a school or health-related setting, with a focus on wellbeing.
  3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national health agenda for schools and wellbeing.
