About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Independent Living team at Curo. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live independently in their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with individuals to identify their support needs and develop personalized plans to promote their independence and wellbeing.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals, including assistance with daily living tasks, shopping, and accessing community resources.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals, their families, and other professionals to ensure seamless support and care.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks and promote safety.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support and care.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of individuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
