About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Womenswear Design Assistant to join our dynamic Product & Design Team at Sisters and Seekers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting our Lead Designers and Buying Team in creating innovative and stylish womenswear designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing new design concepts and presenting them to the team for review and feedback.
  • Create detailed CADs and tech-packs for internal and supplier use.
  • Develop and maintain linesheets for each collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in fit sessions and provide feedback on new developments.
  • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to track developments and implement design adjustments.
  • Assist in curating linesheets for B2B presentations.
  • Contribute to the development of new product lines and product expansion.
  • Research and suggest new fabrics and manufacturing techniques.
  • Create trend boards and provide trend forecasts, highlighting key styles and design details.
  • Develop relevant inspiration boards as needed.
  • Assist in repeat pattern and print developments.
  • Organize and maintain samples, swatches, and fabrics in a logical and accessible manner.
  • Work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Collaborate with the wider creative team to ensure designs align with campaign concepts and brand ideas.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a completed Fashion Design Degree at 2:1 or above.
  • Experience in a womenswear or menswear design role is desirable, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to work on-site at our office HQ.
  • Evidence of a strong design portfolio.
  • A creative flair with a unique vision and original ideas.
  • Excellent knowledge of the brand, customer, and signature aesthetic.
  • A keen eye for fashion and style in day-to-day life.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrics.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to take initiative independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
