About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Womenswear Design Assistant to join our dynamic Product & Design Team at Sisters and Seekers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our brand by assisting in the creation of new design concepts, developing detailed CADs and tech-packs, and collaborating with our Lead Designers and Buying Team to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of new design concepts and present them to the Lead Designers and Buying Team for review and feedback.
  • Create detailed CADs and tech-packs for team and supplier use, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain linesheets per collection, showcasing our latest designs and trends.
  • Attend fit sessions on new development and provide constructive feedback to ensure the best possible outcome.
  • Communicate effectively with Suppliers and Manufacturers to track developments, implement design adjustments, and sizing amendments.
  • Assist in curating linesheets for B2B presentation, highlighting key styles and trends.
  • Collaborate with our retail partners to offer new product lines and product expansion opportunities.
  • Develop ideas for new product lines and product expansion, staying ahead of the curve in terms of fashion trends and consumer demand.
  • Assist in collecting, understanding, and suggesting new fabrics and manufacturing techniques to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Create trend boards and provide trend forecasts on a regular basis, highlighting key styles, vintage references, and design details.
  • Develop relevant inspiration boards as needed, showcasing our brand's unique aesthetic and style.
  • Assist in repeat pattern and print developments, ensuring consistency and quality across our product range.
  • Organize and maintain samples, swatches, and fabrics in a logical and accessible manner.
  • Work under time constraints and meet deadlines, demonstrating a passion for delivering high-quality results and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Collaborate with the wider creative team to ensure designs align with campaign concepts and overall brand ideas.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a completed Fashion Design Degree at 2:1 or above.
  • Experience in a womenswear or menswear design role is desirable, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The ability to work on-site at our office HQ.
  • Evidence of a strong design portfolio, showcasing your creative flair and unique vision.
  • Excellent knowledge of the brand, the customer, and our signature aesthetic.
  • A keen eye for fashion and style in day-to-day life, with an interest in vintage clothing.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrics.
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to take initiative independently.
  • The ability to blend and complete tasks within a team, working together with colleagues to deliver the best possible results.
  • Confidence to develop, present, and back your ideas to a group or team, with a willingness to receive constructive feedback.
  • Effective project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
