Design Engineer/Draughtsperson Job Opportunity

Kinetic PLC, a leading recruitment consultancy, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer/Draughtsperson to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a dynamic company in the engineering and manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Design Engineer/Draughtsperson to assist project leaders in generating, reviewing, and maintaining 2D drawings to company and customer standards using AutoCAD. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills in English, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and formalize AutoCAD drawing formats and standards for the company.
  • Produce and update a range of electrical, mechanical, and functionally descriptive CAD drawings.
  • Compile basic design level modifications and drafts from project leaders.
  • Provide formal and informal guidance of drawing practices to other engineers.
  • Manage the release of drawings for production and control drawing issue.
  • Maintain company's drawing standards and technical records.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' track record in CAD experience working in any engineering industry, preferably using AutoCAD 2D or 3D.
  • Knowledge and experience of drawing changes procedures and revision control as well as basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001).
  • Ability to handle dynamic workloads and priorities.
