About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Director of Compliance to lead our approach to Health, Safety, Safeguarding and Compliance across our diverse business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a strong safety culture and maintain effective frameworks for all aspects of safety and compliance.
  • Provide assurance to the Group Board and management through a comprehensive framework, setting standards, testing processes and controls, and ensuring best practice is deployed consistently.
  • Lead an expert team of safety and compliance professionals, challenging the organisation to improve the rigour applied to achieving compliance targets.
  • Drive improvements in performance and Customer outcomes, ensuring we meet all legal and regulatory requirements as we pursue our 'Because Community Matters' strategy.
Requirements
  • CMIOSH/RICS qualified or equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in developing comprehensive assurance frameworks in a relevant sector, focusing on safety and compliance in the context of both property and people.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to ensuring the highest levels of safety and compliance practice.
  • Track record in raising standards and nurturing a safety culture within a complex business, leading the delivery of internal health and safety, advisory and support services.
  • Experience in dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including boards, regulators, and other agencies.
