About the Role

We are seeking an Environment and Consents Specialist to join our Offshore Coordination team, providing subject matter expertise on environmental and community impact assessments for offshore design appraisals. Experience in managing complex projects and managing consultants to deliver desired outcomes is also essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information, are also required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop the assessment methodology for assessing the environmental and community impact of offshore wind farm connections and lead the appraisal of environmental and community considerations for various design options.
  • Provide environmental and consenting expertise and knowledge to project design options to minimize environmental and community impact and ensure design proposals are consentable and deliverable.
  • Manage specialist consultants responsible for delivering cable corridor routeing and subsequent environmental and community appraisals.
  • Work with key external stakeholders to present and gain feedback on design options.
  • Support the appraisal of various design options against the terms of reference to provide a final design recommendation.
  • Articulate the rationale for the final design recommendation in technical reports and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Work with design teams to integrate environment and community considerations into network designs.
  • Awareness raising of environmental and community considerations in network design and other business activities.

About the Team

We are a dynamic team working towards creating a cleaner, greener, and more affordable future for all. We are committed to building a workforce that represents the communities we serve, and a working environment in which each individual feels valued, respected, fairly treated, and able to reach their full potential.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary and bonus based on company performance.
  • 26 days annual leave as standard and a competitive contributory pension scheme.
  • Full support and career-development resources to expand your skills and expertise.
  • A diverse and inclusive community of belonging, where teammates are empowered to bring ideas to the table.
