Environmental Protection Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Protection Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the health and well-being of our community by enforcing environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and enforce environmental regulations related to pollution control, public health, and other environmental issues.
  • Provide guidance and advice to members of the public and other stakeholders on environmental health matters.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and partners to achieve environmental health goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impacts.
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address environmental health hazards.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in environmental health or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and use of the internet.
