Job Title: Environmental Protection Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Environmental Protection Officer to join our small but busy team at Warwick District Council.

About the Role:

  • Undertake investigations, compliance, and complaint inspections to ensure environmental health standards are met.
  • Provide advice and guidance to members of the public and other service users on environmental health-related matters.
  • Work collaboratively with senior colleagues and specialist officers to deliver front-line environmental health duties.
  • Develop practical experience in delivering environmental health services and contribute to the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify potential environmental health hazards.
  • Investigate complaints and take enforcement action where necessary.
  • Provide guidance and advice to members of the public on environmental health-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other teams and partners to deliver environmental health services.

Requirements:

  • Competent in Microsoft Office and use of the internet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
