About the Job

SailGP is a global organization that aims to promote diversity and inclusivity in the sailing industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the procurement and delivery of our on-water fleet for each SailGP event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement, organization, and delivery of the on-water fleet for each SailGP event.
  • Liaise with the Head of On-Water Operations to integrate fleet operations with overall on-water activities.
  • Coordinate with SailGP logistics for smooth fleet transit between events.
  • Procure qualified boat drivers as necessary for each of the SailGP events.
  • Oversee collection and filing of permits, charter agreements, and insurance documents.
  • Support event operations, including dock and on-water management, scheduling, and health and safety protocols.
  • Determine the docks required and assist with procuring and installing as needed.
  • Provide end-to-end dock management, including the appointment of dock managers as required.
  • Work with risk management to assess and mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain safety protocols for fleet operations.
  • Manage budgets and drive down costs with the finance team relating to our on-water fleet.
  • Ensure that any boat used at a SailGP event is operationally fit, coordinating with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
About You
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in marine or sailing events.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in event management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Willingness to travel to most SailGP events.
