Fleet Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our diverse fleet of cars and vans, ensuring they operate efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure our fleet operates in line with all relevant legislation and regulations, maintaining a high level of compliance and minimizing risks.
  2. Budget Management: Develop and manage the fleet budget, focusing on cost efficiency and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  3. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze fleet data and provide actionable reports to inform strategic decisions, ensuring data-driven insights drive business outcomes.
  4. Demand Projection: Predict ongoing demand for cars and vans to meet business needs, ensuring we have the right vehicles in place to support our operations.
  5. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers, securing the best value for our fleet.
  6. Sustainability Initiatives: Analyze our fleet's carbon footprint and propose opportunities to integrate greener vehicles, reducing our environmental impact.
  7. Due Diligence: Ensure procurement sources are secure and sustainable, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance.
  8. Fleet Renewal: Manage a rolling renewal program for vehicle replacement and disposal, ensuring our fleet remains up-to-date and efficient.
  9. Cost Tracking: Use software to support detailed records of fleet costs, working closely with the Finance Team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  10. Telematics Monitoring: Ensure trackers are fitted on all vehicles and monitor fleet utilization, optimizing routes and reducing costs.
  11. Insurance Interface: Manage interactions with our insurance provider to handle claims efficiently and minimize losses.
  12. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of vehicle inspections, services, faults, and driver behaviors, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
Environmental Responsibilities

You will conduct thorough risk assessments for individuals and ensure compliance with all general health and safety protocols, implementing measures to mitigate risks and documenting your findings.

Data Protection

Ensure all aspects of the role comply with Data Protection and GDPR, considering third-party risks, cyber threats, and data security.

Additional Duties

Be prepared to undertake additional duties or projects as assigned by the directors or line manager, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.

Safeguarding

Familiarize yourself with our Safeguarding Policy, ensuring you understand and comply with all its requirements, protecting the welfare and safety of the children in our care.
