About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team at Halfords, a leading retailer of automotive and cycling products. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial support to our Retail B2B Leadership team, who are responsible for delivering business-to-business products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to the Retail B2B Leadership Team, including key performance indicator analysis and variance analysis to budget.
  • Support the Retail B2B Leadership Team in understanding and managing costs, while driving operational efficiencies and commercial performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete cost lines, and lead on the budgeting and reforecasting processes during the annual business cycle.
  • Track operational expenditure and capital expenditure project spend for cost lines.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a retail or fast-paced sector, preferably with a background in finance or accounting.
  • Part-qualified at a strategic level, studying towards a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use Microsoft Access at a high level.
  • Experience with using SAP is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A commitment to quality, with a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
  • A curious and confident self-starter, with a desire to continuously develop self and drive business forward.
