Support Professional for Special Needs Students

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our vibrant team at SENDirect. This full-time position comes with a temporary to permanent contract, offering an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to students with special educational needs, promoting their independence and confidence.
- Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans, ensuring students receive targeted support and guidance.
- Help create a positive and structured learning environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and external professionals, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to develop and implement effective strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
- A positive and empathetic approach to supporting students, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
