Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site security and coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Manage utilities and maintain safety records to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with ground maintenance, hospitality, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the upkeep of supplies and domestic routines to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with facilities, maintenance, or caretaking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Working Arrangements:

This is a part-time position, working 16 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will be based at Cathedral House, with duties at various sites within the Catholic Diocese of Plymouth.
