Repairs Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repairs Manager to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our repairs and maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled engineers and planners to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of all jobs.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to meet business demands.
  • Work closely with HR to manage employee relations, including conducting probationary reviews and addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Continuously review and improve working practices to enhance service delivery and operational success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operational management and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures.
