Repairs and Asset Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Repairs and Asset Manager to join our team at Venn Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the maintenance, modernisation, construction, materials and stores and repair function of a responsive nature.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a planned repairs work programme to minimise the level of responsive repairs requests
  • Responsible for void turnaround as it relates to Housing Repairs
  • To be responsible for damp, mould and condensation compliance in line with regulation and current standards
  • Lead on the handling of customer complaints and Ombudsman enquiries as they relate to Housing Repairs, including compliance with the Ombudsman Compliant Handling Code
  • Allocate and monitor service area budgets and work with the Finance Team to take mitigating action to manage any areas of under or over-spending
Requirements:
  • Must have 3-4 years within housing repairs
  • Previous Local government experience
  • Knowledge of Housing Legislation including Right to Repair Building Regulations, Landlord and Tenant Act 1984 Section II
  • Wide knowledge of all building crafts and regulations including Gas Safety Regulations and Electrical Installation Regulations
  • Knowledge of the Housing Regulator Consumer Standards & Ombudsman codes of guidance
