Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced tutor to join our team at Queen Alexandra Charity in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language skills to adults with learning disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals with special educational needs and a commitment to providing high-quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored English language lessons to students with learning disabilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to individual student needs
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless student support
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in special education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient and empathetic approach when working with students with special needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
