Teaching Assistant Role at Academics Ltd

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious teaching assistant to join our outstanding primary school establishment in Whitchurch. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to build upon their knowledge and confidence before completing their teacher training.

About the Opportunity
  • This is a 1 year contract, working with Key Stage 1 and 2 children.
  • The role involves some responsibility for working with SEN children.
  • A competitive pay rate of £83-£90 per day.
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree graded 2:2 or above.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • General class support.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Working with small groups and individuals to promote learning and development.
Requirements
  • Degree required (under or post graduates).
  • Ability to work well with children and colleagues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
