Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Role Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Teaching Assistant (Access Leader). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND.
- Provide high-quality support to students with SEND, enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders about student progress and well-being.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and supports the emotional and social needs of all students.

Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or special educational needs.
- Experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
