Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Telford and Shrewsbury. As a Special Educational Needs Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and other special needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with challenging behaviors and a passion for nurturing supportive relationships. You will be required to assist the children during lunchtime and demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to supporting teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with autism and other special needs in a 1:1 setting
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning and implementation
  • Liaise with parents and relevant staff to ensure effective communication
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check or willing to apply
  • Contactable references
  • Ability to work flexibly with timetabling and daily routines
  • Excellent communication skills
