School Administrator Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving Independent Alternative Provision in South London as a School Administrator. The role will involve driving the organization's daily operations, supporting the curriculum and teaching practices, and maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff and teachers to support the curriculum, teaching practices, and student performance standards
- Manage daily school operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with educational regulations
- Create a welcoming school environment, address student issues, and ensure open communication with parents and guardians
- Develop and implement policies, initiatives, and programs aligned with the school's vision and educational goals
- Act as the primary contact with the local community, represent the school in events, and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders
Requirements:
- A good standard of education to at least GCSE Grade C level or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- At least 2 years experience in a school based office role
- Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. word, excel, databases, spreadsheets, Internet)
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Highly organized
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to foster constructive relationships with, and gain the confidence of, young people, parents/carers and colleagues
- Exceptional communication with all age groups and abilities, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-manage, and prioritize workloads effectively using initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be proactive, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
- Willingness to undertake additional training
- Willingness to support with offsite visits as well as staff and student meetings
Salary Information: This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum.
