We are looking to recruit a well-organised and self-motivated Administrator to support the Children Looked After Department to monitor the administration process for childhood immunisation.
As the Team Lead Administrator, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include data collection for immunisation and appointment booking for children and young people, typing and processing clinical letters, reports, and other correspondence as required by the team.

The post holder will lead a team of administrators to provide a high quality administrative support service to the department including PA support to named individuals. The post will provide a broad range of support activities to ongoing and fixed-term projects within the department and will ensure the smooth running of the service and effective internal and external liaison to contribute to the successful running of the office as a whole.
The role will require the individual to interact with a multi-disciplinary team in a very busy office environment, dealing with highly complex and sensitive issues, often requiring appropriate judgements to be made under mínimal supervision.
The Evelina London Children’s Hospital is a busy secondary and tertiary children’s hospital. We are committed to excellent patient care and providing a first class service to children and their families.
We provide a comprehensive range of services for the 121,000 children and young people that live in Lambeth and Southwark. This includes universal services - health visiting, family nurse partnership, school nursing, nutrition and dietetics, and a newborn hearing screening programme. Our specialist services cover community paediatrics, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, complex needs nursing, sickle cell and audiology. As well as part of statutory services including looked after children, child protection, safeguarding, and adoption and fostering.
We have two main health Centres Mary Sheridan Centre in Lambeth and Sunshine House in Southwark but we have many more across Lambeth and Southwark. We also provide services in schools, community buildings, in families’ homes, and occasionally in hospital. Through group sessions and individual appointments, face-to-face and virtual, we hold over 176,000 appointments every year
The role of the LAC Health Team is to improve the immunisation coverage of Children Looked After placed in and out of the borough.
Book immunisation appointments for children/your person entering care above which include unaccompanied minors. There is also a focus to increase uptake of HPV and teenage immunisations.
To maintain a record of the current immunisation status of all Southwark and Lambeth Children After Children.
To keep track of all Southwark and Lambeth Children Looked After who have outstanding immunisations and communicate with their carer, GP and social worker to get these completed and recorded.
Managed immunisation clinics at the Sunshine House and the Mary Sheridan Centre with the medical and nursing team.
Managed and Monitor DNA appointments with the medical and nursing team.
Work closely with Southwark and Lambeth Social Workers
Provide weekly and monthly immunisation data to support Key Performance Indicators (KPI), quarterly figures and annual reports.
Organise and administer Immunisation meetings, taking comprehensive minutes and ensuring timely dispatch of papers, highlighting actions.
Provide PA support to the nursing team regarding immunisation, including diary management and arranging meetings and appointments via the calendar system with both external and internal personnel.
Prepare and produce reports/spreadsheets, presentations and other documents as requested using the format required by the Children Looked After team.
Prepare acknowledgement letters and draft replies where required.
Cover full PA and secretarial support to named individuals when required.
Support in the implementation of projects, with mínimal supervision to agreed goals and agreed timescales.
To support the Immunisation programme by liaising the GSTT clinical members, Health Visiting Service, GP Practices, NHSE and parents/carers.
