Job Title: Research and Engagement Officer

Black Country Women's Aid is seeking a highly skilled Research and Engagement Officer to join our Centre for the Analysis of Exploitation (CeAnEx). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate team conducting innovative research to identify and support women who are sexually exploited in the West Midlands.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to our Community Engagement Project, which combines open-source intelligence and traditional academic research methods to identify victims of organised crime. As a Research and Engagement Officer, you will work closely with law enforcement and partner agencies to develop new perspectives on human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to identify and support women who are sexually exploited in the West Midlands
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and partner agencies to develop new perspectives on human trafficking and sexual exploitation
  • Contribute to the development of innovative research methods and tools
  • Work with the team to identify and address gaps in services for victims of exploitation
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in research and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the issues surrounding human trafficking and sexual exploitation, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
