Job Title: Research and Engagement Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Engagement Officer to join our team at Black Country Women's Aid. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and analysis on sexual exploitation, as well as engaging with victims and survivors in the community.

About the Role

The Research and Engagement Officer will be part of our Centre for the Analysis of Exploitation (CeAnEx), which conducts innovative work to identify and support women who are sexually exploited in the West Midlands. The role will involve a combination of desk-based research, face-to-face work with victims and survivors, and joint working with police and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and analysis on sexual exploitation, including visits to sex work locations and analysis of open-source intelligence.
  2. Engage with victims and survivors in the community, providing support and guidance as needed.
  3. Work closely with police and partner agencies to identify and support victims of sexual exploitation.
  4. Contribute to the development of new perspectives on human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the UK and beyond.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of research and analysis, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and to be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive information.
