We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team at NHS. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to increase referrals into our service.
Key Responsibilities- Community Partnership Development: Recruit and coach peer facilitator networks across various settings, engaging with local people, services, and partners to ensure local awareness and explore partnership opportunities and co-production activities.
- Representation and Promotion: Attend local health forums, groups, and meetings to represent NHS, promote our service, and maintain local partnerships.
- Partnership Database Management: Update the partnership database with all contacts, including required follow-up contact.
- Support and Training: Assist with incoming and outgoing telephone calls and take Stop Smoking Practitioner training to offer support to service users during your role.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience of volunteer recruitment and management, facilitating network groups, stakeholder development, and awareness of the barriers facing adults and young people in stopping smoking or similar.
- Skills: Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and confident in producing social media posts and engaging with stakeholders via Facebook messenger and groups.
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of working with adults or young people in a health-related project and knowledge of asset-based community development.
- Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications and experience in community engagement, volunteer management, and stakeholder development.
- Personal Qualities: Motivated, passionate, organized, and proactive communicator with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of people in Sandwell.
