Submarine Metrology Engineer Opportunity

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on designing, building, testing, and commissioning the largest and most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy, with a salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.

You will be working within an exciting and collaborative team, developing, deploying, and supporting complex measurement and monitoring systems from cradle to grave.

This role involves collaborating with experts in multiple engineering disciplines to create innovative solutions for submarine measurement and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities
  • Building, Integrating, and Testing Instrumentation Solutions: Create bespoke instrumentation solutions for a wide array of parameters, including temperature, dimensions, accelerometry, mass, pressure, shock, non-ionising radiation, ionising radiation, noise, vibration, torque, voltage, and current.
  • SUPPORTING Novel Research Projects: Collaborate with researchers to advance sensing technologies and explore new applications.
  • Supporting Emergent SITE Instrumentation Projects: Identify effective solutions to emerging problems related to metrology and calibration.
Qualifications and Experience

A minimum 2:2 degree in Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Maths is required.
