Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to surgical patients, working closely with a dedicated team and directly reporting to the Ward Manager.

With a strong focus on service development across the perioperative pathway, this role offers opportunities to broaden your nursing experience by managing a varied surgical case mix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through effective leadership and collaboration with the team
  • Contribute to service development initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions
  • Manage a diverse range of surgical cases, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid registration with the NMC
  • Excellent clinical competence, with a strong understanding of perioperative care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and patients
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations
