Barnsley-based Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated Social Worker/Senior Social Worker Adoption for a permanent position. The salary for this full-time role is up to £44,539.

Core Responsibilities
  • We require someone who can collaborate effectively with children, young people, and families/carers to understand their needs and promote participation in decision-making.
  • The successful candidate will conduct assessments in line with statutory and regulatory standards, as well as operational policies and procedures.
  • They will develop, implement, and review interventions for children, young people, and families/carers, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory standards.
  • This role demands the ability to utilize supervision proactively to enhance practice, reflection, and career development.
  • The ideal candidate will maintain accurate and up-to-date records safely and confidentially, following the Council's policies and procedures.
  • We seek someone who can interact effectively with colleagues and various organizations to identify, assess, plan for, and support the needs of children, young people, and families/carers.
  • The successful candidate must meet the requirements of the Professional Capabilities Framework, Social Worker level, and registration with the Health Care Professions Council in respect of practice standards, conduct, and professional development.
Essential Qualifications
  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent (DipSW, CQSW, CSS) is essential.
  • Social Work England (SWE) Registration is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families is necessary.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families is required.
