Head of Health and Safety Management

Pertemps is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Health and Safety Management to join our team.
Job Purpose:To provide expert advice, support, and recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice within key industry sectors linked to our client programmes.
Main Responsibilities:- To prepare and present corporate risk assessments to the Executive for endorsement.
- To ensure control systems are continuously monitored, inspected, and audited to provide assurance to the Corporation board that health and safety compliance is effective and sustainable.
- To provide professional advice, guidance, and training to line managers, senior management team, Executive, and Corporation members on health and safety legislation and guidance.
- To implement a corporate risk register and risk management plan and manage the development, implementation, and compliance of health and safety corporate standards.
- To manage the development of an effective health and safety management compliance support system to ensure the management of significant hazards and risks.
- To work closely with the Group Director of Estates and Facilities to ensure that the risks associated with all capital building projects are minimised.
- To act as lead advisor to the corporate safety committee and ensure that staff are fully represented.
- To produce regular performance reports linked to compliance standards and promote them to local health and safety groups.
- Requires an excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety management and 10 years of relevant experience in Health and Safety management.
