Health and Safety Manager

To set new standards of excellence in health and safety management by providing expert advice, support and recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice within key industry sectors linked to the client programmes.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare corporate risk assessments and report annually to the Executive for endorsement of assessment findings.
- Ensure control systems are continuously monitored, inspected, and audited to provide assurance to the Corporation board that health and safety compliance is effective and sustainable.
- Provide professional advice, guidance, and training to line managers, senior management team, Executive, and Corporation members on health and safety legislation and guidance.
- Implement a corporate risk register and risk management plan, and manage the development, implementation, and compliance of health and safety corporate standards.
- Manage the development of an effective health and safety management system, including an annual schedule of internal health and safety audits and inspections, and produce written reports on remedial actions and practical, cost-effective solutions.
