Job Summary

Companies House is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of its corporate strategy and drive the implementation of its strategic plans. As Head of Corporate Strategy and Planning, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the organization and ensuring that it delivers its vision and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in a complex, fast-paced environment and will be able to develop and deliver effective strategic plans. They will also have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire teams and generate buy-in across the organization.

The role will involve working closely with the Chief Executive's office and external communications teams to ensure a consistent strategic narrative across Ministerial and Departmental communications. You will also be responsible for embedding an inclusive, learning culture in your team, trusting and empowering others, and enabling high performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Companies House corporate strategy and strategic delivery roadmap.
  • Lead the development of annual business plans aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Compile and produce key Companies House products, including the Annual Report and Accounts and annual Parliamentary reports.
  • Work closely with Data directorate and others to monitor and evaluate progress towards delivery of annual business plans and the corporate strategy.
  • Report at Board and Executive level on progress towards strategic objectives and make recommendations to address any issues.
